The Jolly Phonic Sound for this week is the H h. You will be able to print out the sheet under the heading of jolly phonics. Some of the words that will be the focus are: hat, hip, hit, ham, had, hand, hen, hill, hog, hut.

 

The By Heart Word is: see and the colour word is brown.

 

The focus for reading comprehension will be Retell. I will start the retelling by using a variety of Fairy Tales. These are a little easier for the children to remember in order to tell what happened first, next and finally. It is difficult for the children because they either tell too many of the details or not enough. Many times the children require adult prompting in order to tell the details from the story.
